I have to agree with some of the other postings. I have received NO real support from Dotster. Every question is answered with a canned response that does nothing to solve the problem and we are left on our own to resolve issues. It just seems to get progressively worse. Any website requiring PHP & MySQL is slow to load and worst of all, my sites are regularly hacked. The last assault embedded malicious code into my webpage’s and deleted files on other sites. I have sent numerous emails to Dotster but have never received a response. I have a long-term contract but am seriously considering switching.

Dotster is terrible. I inherited a domain with a company I bought and already have dozens of other domains and hosting plans with a company that does great design and gives personal service. Even though they’re a reseller for GD for hosting they do a terrific job.
Anyway, went to transfer my domain registration and hosting from Dotster and got the hopeless run around. They even told me that if I send them a color copy of my driver’s license then they would release the domain.
Can you say *cough*bullsh|t*cough*? I’ll get my domain moved away from Dotster and when I do I’ll have a real MySQL interface, a real domain control panel and a real hosting control panel.
Dotster should be renamed DISASter. Look up alivepos if you want service.
